JM's procurement policy and supplier requirements
At JM, we strive to maximize economies of scale by adhering to our framework agreements and standardized processes. Our purchases must meet the highest standards of quality, environment, and ethics, and contribute to customer value and sustainability.
Our procurement policy
Procurement at JM shall take advantage of the benefits of scale that our market position allows. This means that we will comply with our general agreements.
Purchasing shall be based on uniform processes and systems.
Our purchasing shall:
- Ensure our resource needs are met at the lowest total cost with the right quality and on time.
- Ensure customer benefit by complying with the company´s directives for quality, environment and ethics.
- Be carried out by skilled and well trained purchasers with competitive vendors.
- Be implemented in a way that takes into account health, safety, equality and sustainability in the supply chain.
Purchasing shall be guided by sensitivity to the opinions and requests of our customers and employees. This will mean that we will look for new opportunities to improve and develop both processes and products together with our vendors.
Environmental requirements for suppliers
Our external partners, such as subcontractors and material suppliers, are an important part of JM’s sustainability work.
JM certifies all the housing that it builds in accordance with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. This means that many of the requirements that are placed on JM due to this certification will also be placed on our partners, and these requirements then become the requirements in our agreements. For example, many building materials must be approved under Swan Ecolabel to be used in a certified building.
In order to meet the Nordic Swan Ecolabel's requirements, products that are built in must also pass the environmental assessment according to Byggvarubedömningen .
Sustainability requirements for suppliers
For our external partners, a sustainability assessment is also made of the company to ensure that it has reliable procedures in relation to what is reasonable in the industry in question. These include health, safety, environment and anti-corruption.
