Sustainable housing at JM
Here at JM, a sustainable home requires a holistic approach, from construction to lifestyle. Our homes have been built following strict requirements on building materials, energy and environmental performance, and design to make it easier to live sustainably. Choosing a sustainable home is an important step toward a more sustainable future. By choosing a Nordic Swan Ecolabel building and a low-energy building, you can help lower our impact on the environment.
Benefits of JM’s focus on sustainability
Healthy indoor environment
Since the 1990s, we have been actively choosing not to use building materials that contain chemicals hazardous to the environment and human health. In 2018 we began to certify all of JM’s housing production in accordance with Nordic Swan Ecolabel. This places additional environmental requirements on the materials.
Low energy consumption
JM has been building low-energy buildings since 2008. This decreases the impact on the climate and lowers operating costs for housing customers.
Live sustainably
It is easy to live sustainably in our homes. The kitchen has space for recycling, all appliances are energy efficient, bikes are parked under a roof, and the buildings are almost always close to public transportation.
This is a sustainable home
Allow us to show you what we mean by “a sustainable home” — healthy indoor environments, low-energy buildings and a sustainable life in our homes.
