JM acquiring building rights for residential development in Malmö

JM has signed an agreement with a private party for the acquisition of building rights for the development of approximately 290 residential units in the Limhamns Sjöstad district. The acquisition amounts to approximately SEK 180 million.
JM is acquiring the property Malmö Snickeriet 1, which has a legally binding detailed plan allowing for the development of approximately 290 residential units with underground garage. The acquisition is made in corporate form, with an underlying property value of approximately SEK 180m, and will be reported within the JM Sweden business segment in the second quarter of 2026.
Transfer of legal title and payment have taken place in connection with the signing of the agreement. Housing start for the first phase is estimated for the first quarter of 2027.
– Through the acquisition of one of the last undeveloped properties in Limhamns Sjöstad, JM now has the opportunity to develop and offer nearly 300 additional residential units in this attractive coastal district, says Lau Borch, Regional Manager South, JM Sweden.
